Former Deputy CM T Rajaiah quits BRS, likely to join Congress
Rajaiah, who was Station Ghanpur sitting MLA, was denied a ticket by the BRS in the recently held Assembly elections. Kadiyam Srihari was given a ticket in his place and won the seat.
HYDERABAD: Former Deputy Chief Minister Tatikonda Rajaiah has resigned from the BRS. Rajaiah tendered his resignation on Saturday allegedly after taking opinion of his followers.
There are reports that Rajaiah is likely to join the Congress and is already in touch with Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.
Rajaiah, who was Station Ghanpur sitting MLA, was denied a ticket by the BRS in the recently held Assembly elections. Kadiyam Srihari was given a ticket in his place and won the seat.
Rajaiah was reportedly promised the Warangal Lok Sabha seat. However, Rajaiah reportedly decided to quit the party due to lack of proper response from the high command.
