Grand celebrations mark the 10th anniversary of Telangana State

HYDERABAD: The 10th anniversary of the formation of Telangana State was celebrated on a grand scale at Tank Bund, Hussain Sagar, on Sunday night.

Governor CP Radhakrishnan attended the event as the chief guest. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, state ministers, and Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari joined the Governor in inspecting various stalls showcasing Telangana's rich history and culture. Artists from different parts of the state presented 17 traditional arts, reflecting the region's vibrant heritage.

One of the evening's highlights was the flag walk, featuring 5,000 trainee policemen marching to the tune of the Telangana State Anthem, "Jaya Jayahe." This display left a strong impression on the attendees.

The Tank Bund area was teeming with city dwellers who flocked in large numbers to witness the special events. However, the celebrations were disrupted by rain, which hampered the cultural activities.

Despite the weather, the spirit of the celebration remained high, marking a memorable occasion in Telangana's journey. The festivities concluded with an impressive fireworks display over the skies of Hussain Sagar.
