Harish Rao deplores dismantling of Telangana Diagnostics by Congress Govt, demands pending salaries to staff
Former minister and senior BRS leader T Harish Rao demanded payment of salaries for staff and management of the State's diagnostic centers.
HYDERABAD: Former minister and senior BRS leader T Harish Rao demanded payment of salaries for staff and management of the State's diagnostic centers.
In a statement here on Monday, he said that it was sad that within five months, the Congress Government had dismantled the Telangana Diagnostics, which was started during the BRS regime to provide free medical tests to the people of the state.
“KCR established 36 diagnostic centers across the state and made available 134 types of medical tests, making Telangana a model for the country in medical services,” Harish Rao said.
He said the diagnostic centers, which provided quality medical tests to millions of poor and common people, were now struggling with poor management. “The employees have not been paid salary for several months. This shows the careless attitude of the Congress government,” the former Minister pointed out.
The Congress Government should immediately pay six months' pending salaries to the doctors and staff working in the diagnostic centres, he said. “On behalf of BRS, we demand steps to ensure that all kinds of tests and medical services are available to the people through diagnostic centres,” Harish Rao said.
