MAHBUBNAGAR: Former Minister and BRS MLA Harish Rao on Thursday said the TDP and the Congress were responsible for the backwardness of Mahbubnagar district.

Sating that their rule was the reason behind the lack of development in the region, he condemned CM Revanth Reddy’s comments made here on Wednesday. He said Revanth Reddy's boss Chandrababu Naidu should be blamed for scarcity of water in Mahbubnagar.

Harish Rao pointed out that the Mahbubnagar projects were left incomplete during the Congress rule, but were successfully completed under the leadership of KCR. He highlighted the positive changes that had taken place in Mahbubnagar district since 2014, attributing these improvements to KCR's efforts. Harish Rao also noted that migration had decreased in the region under KCR's rule,

The Siddipet MLA criticised Revanth Reddy for his comments on KCR and advised him to refrain from making inappropriate remarks. He emphasised the importance of focusing on governance rather than engaging in political mudslinging. Rao highlighted the significant developments in agriculture, drinking water, education, and healthcare that had taken place in the undivided Mahbubnagar district under KCR's leadership.

Harish Rao urged Revanth Reddy and other Congress leaders to maintain decorum and respect in their public statements, laying emphasis on the need for constructive dialogue and collaboration for the benefit of the people of Telangana.

He said under the rule of the BRS party in Telangana, many lives had seen significant improvements. Several new districts, revenue divisions, and mandals had been formed to serve the people of the state better. He said Palamuru-Rangareddy project, which had been neglected for years, was revived under the leadership of KCR, leading to a decrease in migration and an increase in agricultural activity in the region.

Harish Rao highlighted the establishment of multiple medical colleges during BRS term, a feat that was not accomplished by previous governments. He stressed the importance of resolving water disputes promptly and efficiently for the benefit of all residents in Telangana.
