Harish Rao storms out of Assembly; says Governor's speech lacks vision
"Even the Chief Minister who promised to hold Praja Vani is not receiving applications everyday. Even Ministers and IAS officers are not attending the Praja Vani," Harish said.
HYDERABAD: Former Minister and Siddipet BRS MLA Harish Rao and IT Minister Sridhar Babu entered into an argument over Harish's presence at the Business Affairs Committee (BAC) meeting of the Telangana Assembly chaired by Speaker Gaddam Prasad.
On Thursday, Harish Rao attended the BAC meeting instead of leader of opposition and BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). However, Minister Sridhar Babu strongly objected to this as Harish was not a member of the BAC.
Harish however responded that he was attending the meeting in KCR's absence and had sought the permission of the Speaker. Sridhar Babu however concluded that was not the tradition which irked Harish Rao and came out of the BAC meeting midway.

Speaking outside the Assembly, Harish Rao was critical of the Congress Government, "The Governor's speech should be like a vision document but it lacked clarity. The public who have been waiting for the implementation of the promises by the Congress have been left disappointed. Nothing has been done for the elderly, differently-abled, pensioners and women. There is nothing for farmers too with no clarity provided on crop bonus.
"The Governor also did not speak about the development of villages and towns. There is no mention of benefits to be given to the unemployment as promised. Even the Chief Minister who promised to hold Praja Vani is not receiving applications everyday. Even Ministers and IAS officers are not attending the Praja Vani. Only outsourcing employees are receiving applications," Harish said.
