US healthcare giant to invest in 400,000 sq ft facility, creating hundreds of jobs and bolstering Hyderabad's reputation as a global healthcare and technology hub.
NEW YORK: HCA Healthcare, one of the oldest and largest health systems in the United States, will expand its presence in Hyderabad by establishing a Global Capability Centre (GCC). The company has leased a 400,000 square foot campus, marking a major step in its commitment to leveraging technology and innovation in healthcare delivery.
This announcement comes just months after HCA Healthcare's incubation facility in the city was inaugurated in March 2024. Senior company leaders met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu to discuss their plans.
"We are thrilled that HCA Healthcare is further expanding its operations in Hyderabad," said the Chief Minister. "This decision reinforces Telangana's status as a leading destination for global enterprises. In addition to creating several new jobs, HCA Healthcare’s investment will set new benchmarks in the healthcare sector and enhance Telangana’s contribution to healthcare globally.”
The expanded GCC will focus on attracting top talent in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), data science, and analytics. It will serve as a crucial hub for HCA Healthcare’s global operations, driving technological advancements and supporting the company’s mission to provide high-quality healthcare.
"We are excited to expand our presence in Hyderabad, a city that aligns with our vision for innovation and growth," said Emily Duncan, Senior Vice President of HCA Healthcare’s Global Capabilities Network. "The talent and infrastructure here provide an ideal foundation for our Global Capability Center - HCA Healthcare India, which will be instrumental in advancing our technological capabilities and enhancing patient care across our network.”
Minister Sridhar Babu added, “HCA Healthcare’s decision to enhance their GCC in Hyderabad is a testament to our state’s robust ecosystem and our efforts to create a conducive environment for global businesses. We are committed to supporting HCA Healthcare in their journey and I am confident that Hyderabad will continue to play a crucial role in improving lives around the world.”
