Heavy rains halt Tamil Nadu express near Rayanapadu
Tamil Nadu Express halted near Rayanapadu due to flooding on railway tracks.
HYDERABAD: Heavy rains caused the Tamil Nadu Express, travelling from Chennai to New Delhi, to come to a halt near Rayanapadu in NTR district. The train was unable to proceed as the railway tracks were completely submerged in water, severely disrupting relief efforts.
The Budameru canal, flowing with high intensity due to the downpour, added to the difficulty, making it impossible to carry out any rescue operations. The situation was so dire that even reaching the Rayanapadu railway station was impossible for the rescue teams. Authorities were left waiting for the NTR railway staff to arrive and assist with the situation.
