Heavy rains increase water levels in Hussainsagar
Rising water levels in Hussainsagar prompt authorities to release excess water through sluice gates.
HYDERABAD: Continuous rainfall over the past two days has significantly increased water levels at Hussainsagar.
The full tank level is 513.41 feet, but by Saturday morning, it had risen to 513.53 feet. As a result, authorities raised the sluice gate by 2 feet to release excess water downstream through the nala. Engineering officials are closely monitoring the inflow, currently at 2,075 cusecs, while 1,538 cusecs of water are being released.
