HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court again expressed its strong displeasure over the increasing number of stray dog attacks on children.

The court expressed frustration over the government's lack of action in addressing the issue. It directed the government to explore solutions to protect children from stray dogs and ordered them to return with a plan of action by the next hearing.

The government stated that approximately 380,000 stray dogs are within the GHMC limits and that it is not feasible to relocate them to shelters. The court pointed out that improper waste disposal on roadsides is a major contributing factor to the increasing stray dog menace. It directed the authorities to ensure proper waste disposal and maintain clean surroundings. The court has scheduled the next hearing for next week.
