NALGONDA: On the first day of his bus yatra, BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao reached out to farmers in the drought-hit Nalgonda district.
At Arjalabai IKP centre he spoke with the farmers protesting with empty gunny bags. They told KCR that they were waiting at the procurement centre for someone to purchase their paddy bearing harsh sun out in the open.
“We have been waiting here for the past 20 days. There is no power, there is no crop loan waiver, and no bonus. Our life was not like this when you were the CM,” they told KCR.
They recalled that the minor tanks used to overflow with water during KCR’s tenure even in hot summer. “We want you to return,” they said in unison.
KCR assured them that he would lead their fight for power and irrigation. “Be prepared for a fight,” he said. Earlier KCR also stopped at Anneparthi and heard the farmers.
