HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) Chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Sunday declared the party manifesto for election-2023 at the party headquarters Telangana Bhavan.

He said that Telangana from day one of its formation in 2014 had strived to provide a balanced growth after carefully considering its revenue and expenditure. “We took the help of Dr GR Reddy the then finance commission head we requested BPR Vithal to look into our financial situation. Telangana at the time of formation was facing a dire situation, unemployment, lack of power, irrigation and drinking water,” KCR said.

He announced that BRS (Then TRS) while implementing the manifesto implemented 90 percent of programmes that were not mentioned in the party manifesto in 2014 and 2018. “Policies like Kalyana Lakshmi, residential schools, Rytu Bandhu, Rytu Bima, foreign study scholarships, were not mentioned in the manifesto but become flagship programmes,” he said.

While attributing the peace prevailing in Hyderabad and Telangana, he said that the strengthening of ‘Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb” helped the State to achieve milestones such as highest per capita income and highest per capita power consumption in the country. “While I salute our minority brethren, I would like to announce that 204 minority residential colleges will be turned into residential degree colleges,” the BRS chief declared.
