KCR fulfils dream of a couple, christens girl after 9 years of birth
The couple, Suresh and Anitha, hail from Nandigama village, Bhupalapalli Mandal and were an active part of the Telangana movement
HYDERABAD: It's a nine-year-old dream come true for the couple. They wanted to have their girl child named by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was fulfilled on Sunday.
The couple, Suresh and Anitha, hail from Nandigama village, Bhupalapalli Mandal and were an active part of the Telangana movement. They were blessed with a girl child in 2013.
The couple decided to have their daughter named by KCR who headed the Telangana movement. Therefore, the baby was brought up without a name until now.
Former speaker and MLC Madhusudhana Chari, learning about the couple's desire, took the initiative in taking them and the child to Pragati Bhavan.
KCR blessed the couple and named their daughter 'Mahati' in a proper traditional ceremony conducted by the chief minister himself. KCR also promised to help financially for the child's education. Suresh and Anitha, elated at the kind gesture, expressed their gratitude to the chief minister.
