HYDERABAD: Former IPS officer and BRS leader Dr. R.S. Praveen Kumar condemning the arrest of student leaders for demanding recruitment by the Revanth Reddy Government at the TGPSC office here on Friday, asked the unemployed brothers, to decide whose rule was better for them.

“I strongly condemn the Revanth Reddy Government's action on Telangana’s unemployed. The hundreds of students arrested should be released immediately. Barricades in front of the Public Service Commission resemble the international border,” he said in a statement.

The Chief Minister and his cabinet, who were supposed to answer the legitimate questions of the unemployed, only believed the police, the bouncers, and the lies. History will soon teach them a lesson, he observed.

Hoping that the unemployed brothers, who were badly deceived into believing the Congress would realise, that they were cheated, Praveen Kumar said that the 1,60,083 government jobs were filled during KCR’s rule “. That's an average of 16,000 jobs a year. In addition, millions of jobs in the private sector were created. On the other hand, the first. Revanth Reddy has notified only 6063 jobs in seven months, he pointed out.

In 2016-17, when the unemployed people were worried one day about the eligibility for Gurukul Upadhyaya posts, KCR revised the eligibility marks with a memo the next day, he recalled.

“When the unemployed agitated on March 15, 2023 in the matter of Group-1 leakage, KCR canceled the prelims on March 17 and set up a SIT and arrested many accused,” he said.

KCR did not hesitate to arrest Bandi Sanjay, MP, who was responsible for the leakage of the 10th-class Telugu question paper, Praveen said. The court canceled the Group-1 prelims for the second time due to the incompetence of the TSPSC chairman, he added. He recalled that KCR postponed the Group-2 exam as it was clashing with many exams in 2023.

Enlisting other pro-unemployed actions of the KCR Government, he said thousands of contractual employees were regularised with one GO.

“When the junior panchayat secretaries went on an indefinite strike for 10 days, all their demands were heard carefully and regularized without a single case. When the village revenue assistants went on strike, their problems were solved. The police did not arrest anyone. Despite the indefinite strikes, KCR took all the RTC workers into his fold and converted them into a Government department,” he pointed out.

Praveen Kumar observed that the Chief Minister had not spoken a single time on the problems of the unemployed. “ Maybe they are busy buying MLAs and MLCs and touring Delhi,” he said.
