KCR orders release of Vanakalam season’s Rythu Bandhu assistance from June 26
Chief Minister KCR on Monday directed the officials to release ‘Rythu Bandhu’ agriculture investment support scheme funds for the Vanakalam season from June 26, 2023
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday directed the officials to release ‘Rythu Bandhu’ agriculture investment support scheme funds for the Vanakalam (Kharif) season from June 26, 2023.
The funds will be directly deposited in the beneficiaries’ bank accounts in time to launch farm-related activities before the onset of the monsoon. The finance department was directed to mobilise Rs 7,500 crore for this purpose.
This Vanakalam season, the Rythu Bandhu scheme will also be applicable for the ‘Podu’ farmers as the Chief Minister declared that they would also receive ‘Pattadar Passbooks’, giving them ownership of the lands. Hence, tribal farmers would receive an assistance of Rs 5,000 per acre under Rythu Bandhu.
Since the launch of the scheme, the Telangana government has released Rs 65,559.28 crore. This fiscal year, the government made a budgetary allocation of Rs 15,075 crore. In all, 70.54 lakh farmers received the Rythu Bandhu assistance for Yasangi (Rabi) season in 2022-23.
