HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) supremo K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) said that he will soon appoint former IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar as the party’s general secretary.
Speaking to media at his Erravelli farmhouse on Monday after the former BSP State president joined the BRS, KCR said that Praveen’s entry would help the party to create a strong ‘Bahujan’ base.
“Soon I will declare him as general secretary and I welcome him wholeheartedly. He will be accommodated in a good position and his services will be fully utilised,” KCR said.

Explaining the decades-long fight for separate Telangana and the final stretch, KCR said that he met several political party leaders to gain support for the statehood of Telangana. “From RSS to RSU, I met everyone. I used to show them a short film and offer them Biryani. They were fed up with our constant lobbying but finally, they lent their support,” KCR observed.
