HYDERABAD: Union Minister for Coal and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy made strong remarks regarding the recent vandalism of the Muthyalamma idol in Secunderabad's Monda Market area. He condemned the incident, stating that a disturbing pattern of attacks on Hindu temples has been occurring across Hyderabad.

Kishan Reddy alleged that some extremist forces were intentionally creating communal unrest by targeting Hindu temples and idols. He criticised the police for downplaying the incident by suggesting that the perpetrators may be mentally unstable. "It is not right for the police to attribute such acts to mental instability," he said.

The Minister questioned the police's inconsistent response, pointing out that while strict action is taken for minor infractions like playing DJs during festivals, incidents like this are met with little urgency. He demanded that those responsible, regardless of their status, be arrested and face severe punishment for their actions.
