Kodangal Area Development Authority created in Revanth Reddy’s hometown, to cover Vikarabad, Narayanpet

HYDERABAD: Telangana Government on Saturday set up a new development authority for Kodangal, the home turf of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The Kodangal Area Development Authority (KADA) would be headquartered in Kodangal, Vikarabad district. The body would spearhead development of the region encompassing Narayanpet and Vikarabad districts.
The development-centric initiative placed Vikarabad District Collector Narayana Reddy at the helm of KADA who has been tasked with driving comprehensive growth across the region. Recognising the potential of his constituency, Revanth would also appoint of a special officer responsible for crafting a meticulous master plan for Kodangal's future.
KADA's mandate extends far beyond mere beautification. The body would be responsible for planning the overall development of the area, undertaking basic infrastructure works, schemes such as roads, drains, water supply schemes, electrification and street lighting, creation of infrastructure for social development such as health, education etc.
In 2009, Revanth Reddy was elected as an MP from Kodangal and since then he had been representing the constituency in the Parliament until December when he resigned and became the second Chief Minister of Telangana.
