KTR anticipates hung parliament, sees bigger role for BRS at national level
KT Rama Rao said that the BRS will play a vital role in national politics with none of the national alliance parties securing a majority in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
IBRAHIMPATNAM: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) said that the BRS will play a vital role in national politics with none of the national alliance parties securing a majority in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
“There will be a hung Parliament. Neither the NDA nor the INDIA alliance will achieve a clear-cut majority. If we win a considerable number of seats we will play a vital role in national politics,” KTR said addressing a Bhuvanagiri Parliamentary Constituency cadre meeting in Ibrahimpatnam on Friday.
KTR pointed out that Narendra Modi failed miserably as a Prime Minister as he could not control a galloping inflation that wrecked the lives of the poor and lower-middle-class families. “Bandi Sanjay calls him a God. Narendra Modi did nothing for Telangana either. Shall we elect BJP candidates because they didn’t grant a single Navodaya school or a medical college for Telangana?” KTR said.
Coming heavily on the four-month-old Congress Government in Telangana, KTR said that the Revanth Reddy Government had wrecked the real estate sector in the erstwhile Ranga Reddy district. “We just handed over a well-developed real estate sector to the Congress Government. But their decisions are forcing companies to run out of Telangana,” he said.
“We have the pharma city ready in Maheswaram. Revanth Reddy stalled it. He thinks that real estate will boom in a vacuum. There must be industries or IT sector to kickstart demand for houses and office spaces,” KTR observed.
“Revanth Reddy said that he was a synonym for real estate, but Cairnes went to Gujarat. We have no idea how Foxconn is dealing with the new Government. I want the local BRS leaders to keep a tab on the development of Foxconn,” KTR said.
KTR said that the Congress Government which had cheated the voters with false promises would scrap the free bus service scheme for women after the elections.
