KTR asks Telangana students to promote development works on social media
He urged students to take selfies of medical colleges, IT Towers and create reels with Gurukul students and spread the word on social media
HYDERABAD: The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP)is spreading false propaganda through social media against the Telangana Government, said BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday.
In a meeting with students at the Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, KTR said that while Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao made Telangana a pioneer in all fields, the ruling BJP at the Centre did nothing to help the State.
KTR said, "Telangana residents should compare the State's development before and after 2014 and vote accordingly. As many as 1,001 Gurukuls were established in the State under the leadership of KCR. Telangana is the only State where every village has a tractor and a nursery.
"See how Telangana has changed and developed in the last nine and a half years. The BJP is spreading false information about BRS on social media. You all spend a significant amount of time on social media. We should use social media to combat the fake news spread by the BJP. Make extensive use of Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Every political party is questioning everything KCR has done in Telangana over the last nine and a half years. You all should show them the progress we've made in each village, " said KTR.
The BRS working president asked the students to discuss the progress made by Telangana in the last nine-and-a-half years 9.5 years. He urged students to take selfies of medical colleges, IT Towers and create reels with Gurukul students and spread the word on social media.
KTR asked that students take selfies with the 33 medical colleges and post the images as display pictures on their social media platforms. He also asked the students to take selfies in front of their houses with the drinking water tap and post on social media.
The minister said, "The Congress party, which killed youth and students during the movement, is now coming to ask for votes. The Congress party is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of students, so don't trust the Congress party even by mistake."
"Wasn't Bandi Sanjay the one who leaked the paper? Bandi Sanjay and RS Praveen demanded that the Group-II examination be canceled. Isn't it them who demanded that Group-II be canceled?" questioned KT Rama Rao.
The minister said, "The Congress party's chief minister candidate Revanth Reddy is a thief who was caught in a vote scam. Revanth Reddy is now called as Retentha Reddy. If he comes to power he will sell the state for crores. Telangana State was formed after many struggles, which is why it should be protected. So don't believe them and get deceived.
"DK Shivakumar, Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister, came to Telangana with money. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry when they come to a State that provides electricity 24 hours a day and tell the people that they will only supply electricity for five hours in Telangana if they come to power, " said KTR.
