KTR blames Congress for deaths and disruptions in Telangana's history
In a post on 'X', KTR blames Congress for thousands of death related to Telangana movement since 1952.
HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao accused the Congress government of being responsible for several tragic events in the history of Telangana's statehood movement.
In a post on the micro-blogging site 'X' (formerly Twitter), KTR questioned the need for the Amarula Stupa (Martyrs Memorial) and highlighted the deaths of thousands in Telangana, attributing these tragedies to the Congress government.
"In 1952, when students were fighting against the united state and demanding Hyderabad as a separate state, who resorted to police firing near City College, killing six students? Congress Govt," KTR stated.
He further alleged that the Congress government was responsible for the deaths of 370 children during the first phase of the Telangana statehood movement between 1969 and 1971.
KTR also criticized the Congress for its actions in 1971, stating, "When the Telangana Praja Samithi party won 11 out of 14 seats in the parliamentary elections, who destroyed that party? Congress Govt."
He accused the Congress of sabotaging the democratic Telangana movement and failing to uphold their promise of granting statehood to Telangana, made in 2004, which led to the suffering and sacrifice of hundreds of Telangana children over the following decade.
KTR concluded his posts by referencing Revanth Reddy, claiming, "As Revanth Reddy himself said, who is the 'Bali Devta' responsible for the death of thousands of children? "
