KTR condemns arrest of BRS leader Krishank Manne, calls it undeclared emergency
Krishank Manne was apprehended by Hyderabad police on Wednesday afternoon following a complaint lodged against him by the Osmania University (OU) administration
HYDERABAD: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday strongly criticised the arrest of BRS leader Krishank Manne by OU police, denouncing it as atrocious, illegal, and akin to an undeclared emergency.
KTR took to 'X' and said that Krishank represents the voice of people's movements, embodies Dalit consciousness, and symbolises youth aspirations.
He said, "Krishank's arrest stems from his questioning of the Congress party's failures and the BJP's oppression. The Congress and the BJP will face consequences for their joint witch hunt. Such dictatorial actions will be met with retribution in the Telangana people's court. What we are witnessing is an undeclared emergency reminiscent of the past. Just as the rulers of that time faced consequences for their assault on democracy, the Congress-BJP alliance will meet a similar fate. Our legal team is actively pursuing the matter, and we are determined to ensure justice prevails."
Krishank Manne was apprehended by Hyderabad police on Wednesday afternoon following a complaint lodged against him by the Osmania University (OU) administration at the OU police station.
The Osmania University police have filed a case against Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Manne Krishank for allegedly circulating a fake letter about the closure of university hostels and mess facilities at OU.
The complaint, filed by chief warden G Srinivas, alleges that a fabricated notice circulating on social media falsely claimed the closure of these facilities, tarnishing the university’s reputation.
