KTR criticises BJP for promoting Hindi imposition, questions delay in forming language committee

HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao accused the BJP government at the Centre of pushing Hindi imposition under the pretext of "amicable promotion."

In a tweet, KTR stated that this approach exposes the BJP’s true intent of undermining India's linguistic diversity.

KTR further questioned the BJP government, asking why there has been a delay in forming the Parliamentary Committee on Official Languages. He emphasised the importance of respecting and celebrating the linguistic and cultural diversity of India, asking, "Why can’t for once BJP respect the cultural and linguistic fabric of India?"
