HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao has once again targeted the alleged ties between the Congress and BJP, criticising their silence on Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids against Congress leaders in Telangana.

KTR expressed surprise that despite the raids, no one from Congress or the BJP had spoken up about the issue. He questioned who was protecting Congress leaders from the ED’s actions in the state.

The BRS leader took to Twitter (now X) to share his views, pointing out two specific incidents. He mentioned that the ED had conducted a raid at the residence of a wealthy Congress minister in Telangana two weeks ago, and reports in the media suggested that hundreds of crores of cash were seized. Despite this, there has been no comment from the Congress, BJP, or even the ED, he noted.

KTR also recalled the Karnataka Valmiki scam, where the ED revealed that Rs 40 crore of illicit funds had been used by Congress during the Telangana parliamentary elections. However, no arrests have been made in this case so far. He questioned who was shielding Congress leaders from ED actions in Telangana, suggesting that the BJP might be offering protection.
