HYDERABAD: The Medigadda Barrage stands as a testament to the greatness of the Kaleshwaram Project, stated BRS Working President K Tarakara Rama Rao.

KTR, on his Twitter handle, posted a video showing the floodwaters at the Medigadda Barrage, captioned, "Kaleshwaram Project stands strong against Congress conspiracies. Medigadda barrage remains full. Despite months of negative propaganda by the Congress party and numerous YouTube channels, the barrage is currently handling lakhs of cusecs of floodwater."

KTR asserted that the Kaleshwaram Project is vital for Telangana's growth and that any attempts to tarnish its reputation or that of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao would be futile.

Earlier in the day, led by KTR, a delegation of BRS MLAs and MLCs met Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan on Saturday to submit a memorandum addressing party defections and unemployment issues.

Speaking to the media, KTR responded to questions about the current state of the Medigadda Barrage. He criticised the Congress party for spreading false information, claiming that the barrage had collapsed and that the Kaleshwaram Project had wasted thousands of crores. KTR emphasised that the barrage withstood the recent floods from the Pranahita and Godavari rivers, proving the project's resilience. He announced plans to visit Medigadda soon and provide detailed visuals to the public.
