HYDERABAD: BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) has demanded the fulfillment of all the promises made to unemployed youth in Telangana by the Congress before coming to power.

He said to media after speaking to unemployed candidates who met him on Thursday. He said that the promises made by the Congress government were not kept.

“Before the elections, a large number of advertisements in the name of job calendar were given in all the newspapers. The dates of the 10 exams have been announced. So far, no notification has been issued. The Government must issue notification immediately,” KTR said.

The present Chief Minister had promised the unemployed youth that 2,000 jobs would be increased in group-2 and said that thousands of jobs would be increased in group 3 if voted to power, KTR observed.

He pointed out that the Congress cheated the unemployed by taking mega DSC in the first cabinet meeting itself, KTR said. “In group 1, only 60 jobs have been added to what was given by the previous BRS Government. When they asked to increase jobs, the Government is trying to escape by giving technical reasons,” he said.

He warned the Government that the BRS would not leave this government under any circumstances. “We will raise the issue in all legislative forums because the BRS stands with the unemployed and fights for them,” KTR said.

He demanded that candidates must be picked in a 1: 100 ratio for Group 1 mains, as assured by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. “But now why not call group-1 mains in a 1:100 ratio to benefit the candidates,” KTR questioned.

Urging for enough time for the candidates he said that TET, group-1 prelims, DSC, group-2, group-1 mains, and group-3 exams were lined up one after another.

“As many students are writing all the exams, they should be given enough time for the exam. We demand immediate recruitment of two lakh jobs in the year as promised by the Congress,” KTR said.

KTR asked the Government to announce the job calendar immediately. He warned that the BRS leaders would take to the streets to protect the interests of the unemployed.

"If the promises are not fulfilled, there will be unrest and the unemployed will topple the Government,” he said.
