HYDERABAD: "We will forever cherish the support of the people of Telangana. Through highs and lows, we'll remain rooted and steadfast, always amplifying the voice of Telangana," said BRS working president KT Rama Rao on the occasion of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) foundation day on Saturday.

At the party's formation day celebrations, KTR, while hoisting the party flag at Telangana Bhavan, said that KCR established the party in 2001 to fill the vacuum and advocate for Telangana statehood. He lauded the Telangana movement led by KCR as a guiding compass and a model for democratic movements across various states and parliamentary democracy.

KTR expressed deep gratitude to the people of Telangana for their indispensable cooperation in achieving statehood, acknowledging that the party's efforts cannot fully repay their debt.

"In spite of the numerous conspiracies orchestrated, the voice of the people of Telangana was heard and our party was entrusted with the opportunity in 2014, affirming KCR as the rightful leader of Telangana. Over the course of nine and a half years, we have tirelessly worked towards the development of Telangana, striving to elevate it to the forefront in all spheres across the nation," he added.

KTR said that with the intention of spreading Telangana's progress to other regions, the party was renamed to Bharat Rashtra Samithi and aimed to become a national party. While other states have responded positively, the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections couldn't yield favorable results. However, KCR's unwavering dedication over the past two and a half decades is widely recognised.

KTR expressed gratitude to all party cadres, workers, and the people of Telangana, stating that the BRS embodies Ambedkar's philosophy of teach, mobilise, and fight. He thanked everyone for their support.

KTR urged everyone not to be discouraged by setbacks or overly elated by victories. He stressed the importance of advocating for the people and maintaining unity. Highlighting the significance of a unified voice for Telangana, he reaffirmed BRS's commitment to representing the region. KTR also echoed Jayashankar sir's belief that Sri Ramaraksha embodies Telangana's independent political identity.

While thanking Telangana martyrs KTR said, "Thank you by name to the hundreds of Telangana martyrs who fought for the Telangana movement and laid down their lives and who fought for the aspirations of the people of Telangana.

"We are indebted to all the people of Telangana. Let's once again follow the path shown by KCR," he added.
