KTR supports protesting constables' families in Telangana, pushing for immediate resolution of their grievances.
HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao expressed solidarity with the protesting families of police constables in the state, urging officials to quickly address their grievances.
KTR, while on his way to Adilabad, stopped at Nizamabad’s Dichpally, where constables' wives were protesting against the working conditions of their husbands and demanding the implementation of the 'One Police' system.
KTR spoke with senior battalion officials, stressing the need for a swift resolution to the issues raised by the families. He assured the protestors that if their concerns were not addressed soon, the Telangana government would support further actions to ensure justice for the constables.
The protests, which have been spreading across the state in areas like Nalgonda, Warangal, and Sircilla, have seen constables' wives take to the streets. In Dichpally, protestors blocked National Highway 44, demanding solutions to the ongoing problems their husbands faced in the battalions.
Chanting "We want justice," the women expressed frustration over arrests and suspensions of their husbands for peaceful protests. They criticised the current Congress government, accusing it of neglecting the welfare of police personnel and their families.
