KTR flays DK Shivakumar, says Telangana aware of failures of Congress in Karnataka
KTR stated that there was no need for such a visit as farmers from Karnataka already visited Telangana and shared their experiences, cautioning others about the Congress
HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president and Minister for Information Technology KT Ramarao (KTR) on Sunday said that the people of Telangana understood the challenges faced by Karnataka under the Congress government.
Taking to X, he highlighted the failures of the Karnataka government. Responding to the comments made by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, who asked Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to visit Karnataka, KTR stated that there was no need for such a visit as farmers from Karnataka already visited Telangana and shared their experiences, cautioning others about the Congress.
He questioned the credibility of the Congress party, asking how they sought votes in Telangana when they had not been able to deliver their promises in Karnataka.
Regarding power supply in Karnataka, KTR criticised the KPCC president for providing only five hours of free power while Telangana had been implementing 24-hour free supply. He expressed his disappointment and referred to it as a shame for the Karnataka Government to claim that five hours of power supply was enough for farmers.
KTR further highlighted the failures of the Karnataka government, stating that the promises made during the elections in that State were neglected, causing difficulties for the people.
He mentioned the inability of the Congress Government in Karnataka to implement schemes such as Griha Jyoti and Anna Bhagya, imposed power cuts in Bangalore, and the financial strain on the state-run transportation corporation due to the free bus travel for women scheme. KTR also alleged that the Karnataka Government engaged in corrupt practices by amassing commissions in various projects.
Claiming that the BRS party manifesto was received by people on a positive note, KTR stated that the people of Telangana could not be deceived by the Congress party after witnessing the failures in Karnataka.
