HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao expressed his delight at the commencement of production from the Sultanpur Medical Devices Park.

In a post on the micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter), KTR lauded the park, established under the previous BRS regime headed by the then Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, as a significant wealth creator for Telangana. He emphasised the vision of transforming Hyderabad into a leading centre for life sciences and medical device manufacturing, which led to the establishment of the park in Sultanpur.

Highlighting a significant milestone, KTR announced that Sahajanand Medical Technologies Limited, a company located within the park, has successfully manufactured stents. He expressed his happiness that these locally produced stents will be available in the market starting today. KTR took pride in the fact that products manufactured in Telangana will be exported across India and globally. He reiterated that the Sultanpur Medical Devices Park will serve as a valuable resource for the state, generating substantial wealth in the future.

It is worth recalling that KTR inaugurated products manufactured at the Medical Devices Park on July 4, 2023. Notable among these were Huwel Life Sciences' palm-top molecular device for disease diagnosis through nucleic acid testing and an AI-based haemoglobin testing device that delivers results within two minutes. Additionally, EMPE Diagnostics developed a test kit capable of accurately detecting TB bacteria and antibiotic resistance within three hours.
