HYDERABAD: Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday slammed the Centre and criticized the Government for not providing enough support to states like Telangana, which prioritised development in their agenda.
KTR attended the 'Bhumi Puja' of VEM Technology which was being set up at NIMZ in Zaheerabad of Sangareddy district.
In a public gathering, he said that he was extremely happy that VEM company had chosen Telangana for expanding and said that the establishment would provide employment to around 2,000 people.
When asked about the Centre, KTR said that he was outraged that the Centre had disregarded the State's request of setting up a defence corridor between Hyderabad and Bangalore and shifted it to Bundelkhand.
He also urged the upcoming industry to provide employment to semi-skilled and unskilled locals. He suggested that the company could take up various development programs in the surrounding villages as part of CSR activities.
