KTR mocks Rahul Gandhi over unfulfilled job promises in Telangana
KTR sarcastically criticises Rahul Gandhi for failing to deliver on the promise of 2 lakh jobs within a year.
HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao on Wednesday sarcastically criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for failing to fulfil his promise of providing 2 lakh jobs within a year of the Congress forming the government in Telangana.
KTR, in a tweet, said that young people are eagerly waiting at Ashok Nagar in Hyderabad to thank Rahul Gandhi for delivering on his promise.
KTR further taunted Rahul Gandhi, stating that the youth are also looking forward to expressing gratitude for the issuance of Rs 5 lakh Bharosa Cards under the "Yuva Vikasam" scheme and the revival of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC). In his sarcastic comments, KTR invited Rahul to Hyderabad, where the youth would warmly welcome him for keeping these guarantees.
This criticism comes in the context of Rahul Gandhi's visit to Hyderabad last year, where he met unemployed youth preparing for competitive exams at Ashok Nagar. At that time, Rahul Gandhi had expressed frustration over the struggles of job seekers under the KCR-led government, promising to issue a job calendar immediately upon coming to power and fill 2 lakh vacancies within a year. He also vowed to reform TSPSC in line with UPSC and to provide Rs 5 lakh assurance cards for coaching fees under the "Yuva Vikasam" scheme.
KTR highlighted that many youths believed in Rahul Gandhi's promises but are now disillusioned as the Congress government allegedly failed to address unemployment.
