KTR predicts Congress likely to secure only one MP seat in Telangana
KTR accused the Congress of deploying a 'dummy' candidate to help Bandi Sanjay win
HYDERABAD: The Congress party will only secure one MP seat in Telangana, specifically the Nalgonda constituency, according to BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday.
During a media interaction, KTR said, "Reports suggest Jagan's victory in Andhra Pradesh. Discussions with our MP candidates and a dedicated survey indicate strong support for BRS, leaving the Congress with limited prospects, especially in Nalgonda.
"Congress MP candidates are facing challenges. Our stronghold extends to Nagar Kurnool, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, Karimnagar, Khammam, Medak, and Chevella. Peddapally, Adilabad, and Nizamabad present BJP versus BRS contests. With KCR's entry, both Congress and BJP are wary, hinting at potential gains for BRS in upcoming local elections," he added.
KTR accused Congress MP candidate Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy of distributing money in Peddapalli. "I won as MLA five times in a row in Sircilla and did not distribute even a single rupee to the voters. If you want you can go and ask the voters in Sircilla with microphones."
KTR accused the Congress of deploying a 'dummy' candidate to help Bandi Sanjay win. He questioned Sunita Mahender Reddy's association with Malkajgiri and her status as a Congress candidate.
"Our candidate RS Praveen Kumar is a strong contender in Nagarkurnool. Following the announcement of RS Praveen Kumar's candidacy, the dynamics have completely shifted. Nama Nageshwar Rao's Kamma community is poised for victory in Khammam. I don't think money will influence this election. Let's wait and watch post-June 4, 2024, political scenario," KTR concluded.
