KTR questions ED's silence after raids on Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy
KTR criticises the Enforcement Directorate for lack of clarity after raids on Ponguleti's properties.
HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao raised several questions regarding the raids conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the residences and offices of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy for two consecutive days.
In a tweet, KTR questioned the ED's silence following the raids on the "super-rich" minister. He noted that five days had passed since the raids, yet no statement had been made by the ED. KTR also suggested that this silence might indicate a political drama involving both the BJP and Congress.
He further criticised the lack of response from senior Congress leaders or government officials. KTR pointed out that in other states, whenever the ED or CBI conducted raids on leaders from Congress or allies like AAP, top Congress officials would speak out against the central investigation agencies and the government. However, in the case of Ponguleti, the silence from Congress was notable and has become a topic of discussion within both the party and the government.
The lack of any condemnation from Delhi or visible support from fellow ministers, including Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, has raised questions among the public and political circles.
