HYDERABAD: Former Minister and BRS working president KT Rama Rao has expressed confidence that his party will emerge victorious in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Zaheerabad constituency. Speaking at the constituency preparatory meeting at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday, KTR boosted the morale of party leaders and members saying that the BRS would win a significant number of seats.

He acknowledged the surprise defeat of Hanumanth Shinde and mentioned that non-local candidates winning in constituencies was rare. Despite implementing welfare schemes, KTR noted that the party could not secure votes in the Nizamsagar mandal.

KTR criticised the current Government for not effectively implementing welfare schemes and claimed that voters were concerned about the lack of progress. He accused the Congress Government of damaging the state's reputation and alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was even planning to reduce the number of districts. Dwelling on the recent elections, KTR said that false promises made by the Congress party would cost them dearly if they failed to implement them.

Former Speaker and MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy attributed the Congress' victory in the Assembly elections to the anti-incumbency factor rather than the strength of the Congress. He urged the BRS leaders to take responsibility for the losses and asked them to be more accessible to the people. Srinivas Reddy believed that resolving internal party differences would not be difficult and would contribute to the BRS winning 16 parliamentary seats.

Former Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy spoke about the unconventional style of governance by KCR and praised the government's efforts to achieve rapid development.

He admitted that the BRS could not effectively counter the propaganda spread by the Congress party and stressed the importance of addressing such propaganda in the future. Reddy highlighted the need for a better balance between Government work and party responsibilities and acknowledged that winning and losing were natural in a democracy. He also pointed out that other political parties, including the Congress, had experienced losses in the past.
