KTR responds to concerns raised about law and order in Telangana, advocates for police freedom.
HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao has called on the Congress government to act wisely in maintaining law and order in the state.
In a tweet responding to concerns raised by Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy, KTR suggested that senior police officials be given full autonomy to manage security issues effectively.
KTR's comments came after Jeevan Reddy expressed frustration over the deteriorating law and order situation in Telangana. The Congress leader had voiced concerns over increasing public unease regarding security over the past few months.
In his tweet, KTR highlighted that the public has been anxious about the state of law and order for some time, and now even senior Congress leaders, like Jeevan Reddy, are openly expressing their concerns. KTR stated that the situation is alarming, and blamed the absence of a Home Minister and the involvement of the police in political matters as key factors contributing to the issue.
KTR further urged the government to reflect carefully on how to restore peace and harmony in the state. He emphasised that the state's capable senior police officers should be allowed to do their jobs without interference, which would help safeguard law and order effectively.
