HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) while condemning the unilateral decision of the Election Commission of India barring party president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) from addressing people for 48 hours, demanded action against Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for using foul language and misleading people with the help of fake documents.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, KTR the decision of the ECI forced him to suspect that even the ECI was acting as per the directions of the BJP- led Central Government just like the investigating agencies.

“While the Prime Minister, Home Minister, and the entire BJP openly vitiate communal harmony by inciting hatred among castes and communities, and the BJP social media handles spread venomous propaganda against Muslims, the ECI took no notice of it,” KTR observed,

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi openly said that Muslims with more children would benefit from the proposed redistribution of wealth by the Congress. “Over 20,000 citizens complained and the ECI didn’t even give a notice to Narendra Modi. It finally sent notice to BJP president JP Nadda,” KTR pointed out.

KTR said that using religion for votes was wrong and Home Minister Amit Shah was using posters of Ayodhya Rama during the election campaign. “Arun Govil, the actor used Srirama posters, official BJP X handle uses Rama’s picture, but the ECI takes no action. But ECI bans KCR from speaking for 48 hours for supporting weavers of Sircilla,” KTR said

Recalling the press conference of KCR in Sircilla during which he allegedly used abusive language against the Congress leaders, KTR said that when someone wanted the weavers to sell condoms and papads, KCR reacted in that way out of anger and frustration.

He said that the BRS legal cell filed 27 complaints out of which eight complaints were on abusive and outright filthy language used against KCR. “Except for one on Konda Surekha, the ECI took no notice of the complaints filed by the BRS. The BJP and the Congress were terrified by the tremendous success of the ‘Porubata Bus Yatra’ of KCR and they hatched a plan to stop him from reaching out to more people,” KTR said.

KTR said that the latest surveys had predicted 8-12 seats for the BRS. “The Bus Yatra changed everything. I call upon voters to give a befitting reply to the ECI ban with more votes for the BRS,” he said

Demanding the release of BRS leader Krishank who was remanded in judicial custody in the fake circular case, KTR explained how Revanth Reddy used a forged circular and a stamp of the Osmania University chief warden to misguide people using his official X handle.

“The Chief Minister must be arrested and Krishank must be released immediately. We also filed a compliant with the ECI about MCC violations of Revanth Reddy, we hope the autonomous ECI initiates action against him,” KTR said.
