HYDERABAD: BJP floor leader in Telangana Legislative Assembly A Maheshwar Reddy has alleged massive corruption in the allocation of Rs 3,000 crore funds received by the state under the AMRUT scheme.

Addressing a press conference in Assembly Press Conference Hall on Thursday, Maheshwar Reddy claimed that the funds were misappropriated through dubious tender processes.

Maheshwar Reddy revealed that contracts were awarded to companies such as Shodha, Gaja, and KNR. He specifically mentioned that Revanth Reddy’s relative, Sujan, received contracts worth Rs 400 crore, while Megha Krishna Reddy was awarded projects amounting to Rs. 1,100 crore. He stated that contractors had inflated estimates, turning projects worth Rs 600 crore into Rs 1,000 crore.

He noted that the contractors secured the tenders by bidding 30-35% less than the estimated cost, raising suspicions of malpractice. He questioned why not a single Government Order (G.O.) related to these tenders was made public, demanding transparency in the tender documents.

Maheshwar Reddy also questioned the allocation of Rs. 1,100 crore worth of projects to Megha Krishna Reddy despite ongoing judicial inquiries into the Kaleshwaram project. He challenged the government to be prepared for inquiries into the recent covert agreements and tenders made in the past seven months, the Hetero Drugs land issue, and the Civil Supplies corruption.

He expressed concerns that the Kodangal project might also be handed over to Megha Krishna Reddy, accusing the state government of operating in a "dark mode."

Maheshwar Reddy said he would request the BJP Government at the Centre to order a probe through CBI and Enforcement Directorate into the misuse of central funds.BJP leader alleged that the funds were misappropriated through dubious tender processes.
