Major shakeup of IAS officers in Telangana; Ronald Rose moved to Energy, Amrapali incharge of GHMC

HYDERABAD: The Telangana Government announced a major IAS reshuffle on Monday. Amrapali Katta has been appointed as the new GHMC Commissioner, while Ronald Rose has been transferred as Energy Secretary.

IPS A V Ranganath assumes the role of Chief of Vigilance, IAS Sarfaraz Ahmed as HMDA Commissioner, and IAS Hari Chandana as Secretary to Government for Roads and Buildings. The Government Order (G.O.) for transfers and postings in the General Administration Department is effective immediately.

The following transfers and postings are notified:

1. Sabyasachi Ghosh, IAS (1994), Principal Secretary to Government (Youth Services), YAT&C Department, is transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to Government, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries Department.

2. Sanjay Kumar, IAS (1995), who was awaiting posting, is appointed as Principal Secretary to Government, Labour, Employment, Training & Factories Department.

3. A. Vani Prasad, IAS (1995), Principal Secretary to Government, Environment, Forest, Science & Technology Department, is transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to Government, Youth Affairs, Tourism, Culture & Sports Department, vice Shailaja Ramaiyer, IAS (1997), who has been transferred.

4. Shailaja Ramaiyer, IAS (1997), upon transfer, is designated as Principal Secretary to Government, Endowments, and Principal Secretary to Government (Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts) in the Industries & Commerce Department.

5. Ahmad Nadeem, IAS (1997), Principal Secretary to Government, Planning Department, is transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to Government, Environment, Forest, Science & Technology Department, vice A. Vani Prasad, IAS (1995), who has been transferred.

6. Sandeep Kumar Sultania, IAS (1998), Principal Secretary to Government, Panchayati Raj & Rural Development, RWS, RSAD Department, is appointed as Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department. He also assumes the role of Principal Secretary to Government, Planning Department, vice Ahmad Nadeem, IAS (1997), who has been transferred.

7. Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, IAS (1999), Principal Secretary to Government, Energy Department, is transferred and posted as Principal Secretary to Government, Commercial Taxes & Excise Department.

8. C. Sudharshan Reddy, IAS (2002), Managing Director, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), is transferred and posted as Secretary to Government (Services & HRM), General Administration Department, relieving M. Raghunandan Rao, IAS (2002), from FAC of the said post.

16. D. Divya, IAS (2010), Director, Municipal Administration, is transferred and posted as Chief Executive Officer, Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP), relieving Smt. Anita Ramachandran, IAS (2004), from FAC of the said post. The MoS shall also hold the post of State Nodal Officer, Prajavani.

17. Amrapali Kata, IAS (2010), Joint Metropolitan Commissioner, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), is appointed as FAC of the post of Commissioner, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), vice Sri D. Ronald Rose, IAS (2006), who has been transferred.

18. Harichandana Dasari, IAS (2010), who was awaiting posting, is appointed as Special Secretary to Government, Roads & Buildings Department.

19. Nyalakonda Prakash Reddy, IPS (2010), Director, Vigilance & Enforcement & Disaster Management, GHMC, is transferred and appointed as Managing Director, TG Tourism Development Corporation Limited, vice Sri K. Ramesh Naidu, IPS (2006), who has been transferred. K. Ramesh Naidu, IPS (2006), is directed to report to the Office of the Director General of Police (HoPF).

20. Upon transfer, Alagu Varsini V.S., IAS (2012), is appointed as Secretary, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Society (TSWREIS), relieving K. Seetha, IAS (2018), from the said post.

21. VP Gautham, IAS (2014), who was awaiting posting, is appointed as Special Secretary to Government, Housing. He is also appointed as FAC of the post of Director, Municipal Administration, vice Smt. D. Divya, IAS (2010), who has been transferred. VP Gautham will also hold FAC of the posts of Director, Weaker Section Housing Programme; MD Telangana State Housing Corporation; CEO DILL; VC & Housing Commissioner, Telangana Housing Board; and MD Telangana Rajiv Swagruha Corporation Ltd.

22. Krishna Aditya S, IAS (2014), Director, Labour, is appointed as FAC of the post of Director, Employment & Training, relieving Ahmad Nadeem, IAS (1997), from FAC of the said post.

23. K. Ashok Reddy, IAS (2014), Director, Horticulture, is transferred and appointed as Managing Director, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), vice Sri C. Sudharshan Reddy, IAS (2002), who has been transferred.

24. Anuraag Jayanti, IAS (2015), who was awaiting posting, is appointed as Zonal Commissioner, GHMC, Khairtabad, cancelling the orders issued at Sl.No.4 of the GO 2nd read above. Pamela Satpathy, IAS (2015), continues as Collector & District Magistrate, Karimnagar.

25. Bhavesh Mishra, IAS (2015), who was awaiting posting, is appointed as Deputy Secretary to the Government, Information Technology, Electronic & Communication Department.
