HYDERABAD: Police have served the notices to former BRS MLA Balka Suman here on Sunday for his remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress Government.

Acting on a complaint lodged by Pudari Thirupathi of Mancherial town, the police have registered an FIR against Balka Suman under Sections 294 (b) (uttering obscene words), Section 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation).

In response, Suman claimed that the Congress Government was filing baseless cases against him. He highlighted that his party, BRS, faced numerous cases during the Telangana movement and stated that he was not afraid of cases.

Balka Suman allegedly made derogatory comments about Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and threatened him to slap with a shoe.

After receiving the notice, Suman called the Chief Minister a criminal who was involved in the cash-for-vote case and about the Supreme Court’s notice against the Chief Minister. The former Chennur MLA also criticised the Congress Governments for failing to implement welfare schemes.

Speaking to media he argued that if the Government could file cases against him for his rude comments, then they should do the same for Congress leaders who were making abusive remarks about former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Suman expressed frustration that no complaints were registered against those Congress leaders who used abusive language against KCR.

Stating that BRS wouldn't keep quiet if Congress leaders made any filthy comments against KCR, Suman said that the people of Telangana would teach a lesson to the Congress Government
