Mayor initiates digitisation of GHMC assets

HYDERABAD: Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has mandated the digitisation of all assets under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

In a meeting with Additional Commissioners in the Mayor's chamber on Tuesday, Mayor Vijayalakshmi reviewed GHMC's estate and outlined strategies to enhance revenue generation from these assets.

The Mayor instructed officials to categorise properties, ensure accurate collection of monthly rentals, and set up an online system for lease notifications. She also demanded a comprehensive report on the use of community buildings within the city and details regarding the usage of model markets and municipal market rooms.

Vijayalakshmi emphasised the importance of a thorough digitisation process to streamline asset management. She directed officials to prepare detailed reports on leases and properties for discussion at the next meeting.
