HYDERABAD: BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has instructed District Collectors to file criminal cases against landlords who have locked the gates of Gurukul Schools over unpaid rent.
The minister urged landlords not to take drastic action based on misinformation and promised that rent funds would be released soon.
Speaking on the issue, Prabhakar requested that banners and protests against the schools be removed immediately. He reminded landlords that, as the BC welfare minister, he was committed to resolving the issue. He reassured them that the pending funds would be released shortly.
Prabhakar also directed Gurukul school principals and the residential educational institutions society officials to file police complaints against any landlords causing disturbances, instructing them to take criminal action where necessary. The move aims to prevent further disruptions and ensure that the schools continue functioning without obstruction.
