MLC Kavitha to contest as Nizamabad MP again in 2024
Kalvakuntla Kavitha has announced that she will contest for the Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 general elections
HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has announced that she will contest for the Nizamabad Lok Sabha seat in the 2024 general elections. Notably, Kavitha lost the 2019 Lok Sabha election against Dharmapuri Arvind from Nizamabad constituency.
Speaking at the Telangana Rashtra Samithi Legislature Party (TRLSP) office, Kavitha came down heavily on Dharmapuri Arvind for totally ignoring the development of Nizamabad and spreading falsehoods and misinformation about the State Government. “I will defeat Arvind from whichever constituency he contests from. Even, Arvind has no idea about the operations of the IT Hub which was recently inaugurated in Nizamabad,” Kavitha said.
The MLC said that the newly inaugurated facility had already provided employment for 280 youths out of the planned 750. She said that the IT Sector had brought in substantial investments and boosted employment opportunities for young people across all districts. Kavitha also said that she came to know that Arvind was planning to contest for the Korutla Assembly constituency in the forthcoming election.
Taking a dig at allegations levelled by Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay that farmers were not getting free power round the clock, Kavitha retorted that the mere presence of Sanjay in the BJP office at any hour serves as proof of uninterrupted power supply in the State. She also lambasted the BJP-led Union Government for making false claims in Lok Sabha, particularly in relation to funding for the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.
