BHAINSA: Telangana Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has asked the people in the State to draw a comparison between Maharashtra and Telangana States to know about development.

Speaking at the Praja Ashirvada Sabha in Bhainsa on Friday, KCR said, "Maharashtra has Mumbai which is bigger than Hyderabad. It was formed long ago and our State is just 10-years-old, but still Maharashtra is lagging behind Telangana. Some farmers are practicing agriculture on the lands they have purchased in bordering areas of Telangana and are getting all the benefits offered by the BRS Government."

KCR also lashed out against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his privatisation push. He told people that they should question BJP leaders, "How they are asking for votes when they have demanded to install meters for borewells in Telangana State?"

KCR criticised that the Centre was showing disparity towards Telangana. "I wrote more than 50 letters to the Centre for establishing medical colleges but not even one was sanctioned for the State. I have been asking for Navodaya schools for the last 10 years, but nothing happened."

The Chief Minister praised that people in Bhainsa Muslims and Hindus were living peacefully and that it has always been the aim of the BRS to promote peace and communal harmony among different communities in the last 10 years. KCR added that the All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) would continue to be a friendly party for the BRS and it was proved once again in this meeting.

Blaming Congress for its plan go abolish the Dharani portal, KCR said, "Before portal was created, people used to roam around revenue divisional offices for pattas, registrations and passbooks for years but now with the Dharani portal, everything has changed."

KCR criticised Uttam Kumar Reddy and Revanth Reddy and asked the people, "Whether 3 hours of power is important like in Karnataka or do you want electricity round the clock?"

He stressed that Telangana was the only state in the country which was giving power round the clock.

Questioning the Congress on development and welfare aspects, KCR asked, "We have constructed many irrigation projects but why has the Congress never thought of constructing check dams on rivers and other irrigation projects? There are beedi workers in 19 states in India. Except Telangana no State is giving pensions for beedi workers.
