NIRF ranks: NIPER top pharma college, NALSAR third top law school in India
The University of Hyderabad has also held on to its 10th place in the all-India top 100 universities
HYDERABAD: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad and the University of Hyderabad (UoH) retained their overall ranks of 14th and 20th in the overall National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings released on Monday.
Telangana's top educational institutions, including the University of Hyderabad, Osmania University, NIT Warangal, IIIT Hyderabad, and JNTU-Hyderabad, continue to perform well in the rankings.
IIT-Hyderabad rose to eighth place from ninth the previous year, while NIT Warangal maintained 21st in India and the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-H) was ranked 55th in the same category, up from 62nd the previous year. JNTU-Hyderabad slipped down from 76th to 83rd on the list of top engineering colleges, from 76th previously.
The University of Hyderabad has also held its 10th place in the all-India top 100 universities. Osmania University, which was awarded 22nd rank previous year, has dropped to 36th in the list of top Universities in India.
The city-based National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) is ranked third in the country among the top 100 law schools, while the IIT-Hyderabad was ranked third among the top ten institutes widely recognised for their innovation. The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Balanagar was ranked number one in India in the top 100 pharmacy category this year.
