No one comes to police station for fun, ensure FIR registered, High Court to DGP

HYDERABAD: Telangana High Court on Saturday directed the Director General of Police to educate the police force on their basic duties as a uniformed person.
“Police are meant for the people. No one will visit the police station for fun. There is a need for a drastic change in the behavior of the policemen and women,” the court observed.
The Court pointed out that complainants were terrified when they approached a police station to file a complaint. “The Police top brass must ensure no one knocks at the doors of the court to register an FIR. Lately, it has become impossible for a common man to file a complaint,” the Court said.
