Odisha ex-CM Giridhar Gamang meets KCR at Pragathi Bhavan

HYDERABAD: Former Odisha Chief Minister and Senior Parliamentarian Giridhar Gamang paid a visit to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for a courtesy meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Friday.

However, what transpired in the meeting is yet to be known. The former Chief Minister’s son, Shishir Gamang and many other dignitaries were present in the meeting.

Giridhar Gamag was the chief minister of Odisha from February 17, 1999 till December 6, 1999. A long-time member of the Congress party, Gamang was elected to the Lok Sabha nine times. In 2015, he resigned from the grand-old party to join the BJP.

Gamang’s visit to Hyderabad and meeting with KCR comes in the wake of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s efforts to burst onto the national political centrestage.
