Operation 'Boggu': Congress 'exposes' Rajgopal Reddy's quid-pro-quo deal
Congress leader Madhu Yashki Goud, on Sunday, “exposed” BJP leader Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy's contract with the BJP-led Union Government
HYDERABAD: Congress leader Madhu Yashki Goud, on Sunday, "exposed" BJP leader Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy's contract with the BJP-led Union Government.
The Congress said that a company in which Rajagopal Reddy's wife Lakshmi and son Sankeerth Reddy were shareholders had been awarded huge contracts by the BJP-led Union Government. The former MP alleged that the BJP Government had awarded the contract of Chandragupt coal mines (located in Jharkhand) to the Sushee Company.
According to the documents put out by the former Congress MP, Sushee Infra was not accepted as a bidder when the tender notification for the mines was floated. Reportedly, Gowtham Adani was listed as the top bidder (L1). It was alleged that in January 2021, Rajgopal Reddy hinted at joining the BJP and immediately, in February the Mine project tender was cancelled and reissued. The project was such that Reddy would earn 520 percent revenue of the expenditure on the project.
The Congress leader said that the final agreement was made in 2022 when Rajgopal Reddy quit the Congress to join the BJP for his own benefit.
Even though Sushee Infra was running in losses, the tender was awarded to the company, dropping Gowtham Adani. Allegedly from the time the company had applied for the tender, the leader was hobnobbing with the BJP for quite some time. Once he got the the Letter of Allotment (LoA) in December 2021, Rajgopal Reddy boldly opposed the TPCC and then finally resigned in August 2022.
Madhu Yaskhi said that Reddy had resigned from the Congress for Munugode. But in reality it was for the 18,000 crore contract that he had joined the BJP. Madhu Yaskhi Goud said that the Congress had doubted Rajagopal Reddy's credentials from the start and now it's doubts were proven right.
