HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Harish Rao has expressed confidence that the opposition's attempts to challenge Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR)will be in vain no matter how many DKs (Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar) come to Telangana.

A day ahead of KCR filing his nomination for the Gajwel and Kamareddy constituencies on November 8, Harish Rao said that people were ready to vote for KCR and criticised the opposition for contesting against the Chief Minister despite being afraid of him.

The BRS Minister also inspected the helipad at IOC Grounds in Gajwel on Wednesday and gave instructions to officials on the protocols to be followed during KCR's visit.

He said that Congress' Revanth Reddy and BJP's Etela Rajender were contesting against KCR only to be in the limelight.

The Minister acknowledged the development that took place in Gajwel in the BRS Government's tenure and said that the drought-prone area was turned into an agricultural region by providing the Kaleshwaram water. He added that companies like Coca-Cola and other food processing hubs established would provide job and employment opportunities for many people. The Siddipet MLA emphasied that Gajwel had become a role model to the country and people of the constituency were in awe as the Chief Minister who was representing their constituency.

Stating that the majority of KCR would increase in the upcoming elections, Harish Rao took potshots at the Congress and said that Gajwel constituency doesn't need non-locals to represent the constituency. He said that all parties had colluded to defeat the BRS which would halt the development and welfare schemes.

Recalling DK Shiva Kumar's comments that they were providing five hours of free power supply and Revanth Reddy's comments on the three-hour power supply, Harish Rao asked the people not to fall prey to the Congress.

Harish Rao said that KCR would be filing his nomination at Gajwel first and then at Kamareddy on Thursday which would be followed by a public meeting. He said as part of tradition, KCR would hold his public meeting before the elections in Gajwel on November 28 and would return to power for the third time.
