Orders for establishment of National Turmeric Board issued, says Amit Shah
Accusing the ruling BRS of messing up governance in Telangana, the Home Minister said that the BRS failed to implement promises it had made to the public in the previous elections
ARMOOR: Home Minister and BJP senior leader Amit Shah said that orders for the establishment of the national Turmeric Board have been issued and very soon research in turmeric will be taken up in the Nizamabad district so that turmeric farmers can get more money for their produce.
“Research will be taken up in the next phase. Processing units will also be established,” said Amit Shah while addressing a public meeting as part of the election campaign in Armoor on Friday.
Accusing the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of messing up governance in Telangana, the Home Minister said that the BRS failed to implement promises it had made to the public in the previous elections.
“I was informed that the local MLA occupied the lands allotted for the bus complex and a shopping complex was built on that land. Why did Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao give the ticket to such a person?” asked Amit Shah.
Amit Shah promised to establish an exclusive hospital for beedi workers and an NRI Ministry to address the problems of NRIs from Telangana.
On the alleged corruption in Kaleswhwaram lift irrigation project, he said that those involved in the corruption would be punished and would be forced to cough out the money they got illegally. He said that the BRS Government was involved in corruption in Miyapur lands, awarding ORR contract, Mission Kakatiya, and liquor scams.
Amit Shah also promised to reduce GST on petrol and diesel, provide MSP of Rs. 3,100 for paddy, buy parboiled rice, and extend 'Fasal Bima Yojana' without any premium from farmers if voted to power in Telangana.
