Over 10 tonnes of fish die in Chitkul Pond, chemical contamination suspected

HYDERABAD: Around 10 tonnes of fish died in a large pond in Chitkul village of Patancheru Mandal, causing concern among local residents.

Suspicions have arisen that chemical waste materials might be the cause of this significant fish kill. Officials from the fisheries department have arrived at the scene to collect samples and investigate the cause.

The estimated damage from this incident is expected to be up to Rs 1 crore.
